Come’ on, he is the leader and a true leader of Sri Lankan team. There was a time when Mahela left the captaincy after too much pressure and Sangakkara led the team. With this, the new criticism was generated among the people regarding his decisions. To be honest, he is not only one of the best players but also a good captain of Sri Lanka. Just like Mahela, he always led the team with the nature of understanding and promoting the youngsters.

The no 1. Test bowler and Sri Lankan player Muttiah Muralitharan has criticized the criticism by people on Sangakkara’s captaincy. While an interview with cricinfo, he has said, “Why should I take all this criticism? I can be in the team as a player.” If Sanga goes, who is going to captain? At the end of the day, players need to perform. The captain alone can’t win a match.”

It’s truly right that criticism improves quality and performance but too much criticism just puts pressure of performance and captaincy just squeezes the captain like the potato in a sandwich.
